@arthur_spirling We also show that considering "fancy" learners using DDML+model avg provides additional robustness against unknown functional forms. In our examples, learners other than OLS/logit frequently receive positive weights.

@arthur_spirling You might find our paper on ddml+model avg interesting. We look at a similar question but argue that there is no need choose b/w OLS/logit and fancy ML. Ex ante we don't know what works best and model avg helps choosing.
