In our Parish @rccglsc_ , I preached a sermon on “the power of consistency” late last year. After the sermon we opened a consistency group and we have close to 100 persons on there. This month, the goal is to take a course on edx /coursera or any free learning platform. Its been amazing and its beautiful seeing the power of pursuing your goals with like minded folks.

Lately, some of us have been different. Quieter. More distant. Maybe you’ve noticed. Maybe you’ve wondered why. It’s not that we don’t care. It’s not that we’ve lost ourselves. It’s just that life has been stretching us in ways we never imagined. For folks like us, Ministry pulls at us, demanding faith and strength even when we feel empty. Business requires wisdom and resilience, even when my mind craves rest. Family leans on us, expecting stability, even when we feel like we are barely holding things together. Being the firstborn means carrying unspoken expectations, being the one others look to, even when we have no answers. And then, there are my children:two beautiful souls who see me as their hero. They don’t know the weight I carry; they just know I’m supposed to be strong. And so, I try. Every single day, I try. To our friends, please don’t misunderstand us. If we don’t reach out as often, if we seem distant, if we don’t have the same energy, we promise it’s not because we don’t value you. We do. we appreciate you more than words can say. We are just in a season where we are learning, adjusting, carrying, and growing. But here’s the truth: I am still here. I am still pushing. I am still becoming. My silence is not absence. My struggle is not defeat. Strength isn’t always loud, sometimes, it’s found in the quiet moments of endurance. So if you see us changing, don’t assume we are fading. We are just evolving, finding our way, and holding onto God’s grace. “Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 1:6 I am not breaking. I am becoming !
