One week today I will be fulfilling the dream that started my journey and commentating on @Wimbledon for @BBCSport (across both TV & radio). Ironic that I can't find the words. Deeply grateful for the opportunity and looking forward to getting on the mic!

Stated best by the reigning US Open mixed doubles champions, Andrea Vavassori and Sara Errani. Both of whom are doubles specialists, currently ranked inside the world's top 10 in doubles, and will not be able to use those rankings as direct entry to defend their doubles title.

@marclucero @JohnIsner Any potential extinction would be an automatic choice based on unwillingness to invest in and work alongside the current doubles players/format.

@jenskifed This we know but clearly I've slipped somewhere (maybe with him having won three of the four), apologies!

Kovacevic loves an underdog tag. Only prior ATP SF was as a lucky loser. 2+ yrs later, downs Bublik & Rublev in straights back-to-back as a qualifier for a maiden final. Sensational shotmaking on loop vs Bublik, clutch control of the scoreboard vs Rublev.

Heliovaara is the fire to Patten's ice. Ice that refused to melt after losing an 18-16 first set tiebreak today and served out the championship with an ace. Incredible team. Yet to join forces this time last year and now reigning champions at two Slams.

@sventennis @TennisChannel @TennisEurosport Use of the court-level seats was encouraged but not required - there was always a traditional box-in-stands option for the coaches.

The #AusOpen is THE Slam where players save match point on route to the title. Li Na, 2014. Kerber, 2016. Wozniacki, 2018. Osaka, 2021. Keys' MP-saving SF win, Sabalenka's 2024 Brisbane final loss (6-0 6-3 vs dialled power) and more hinted at the possibility of this so far.

Gotta take the (trademark full) cap off to Madison Keys. Back end of the match was exactly where the ghosts of US Open 2023 (SF that left her in tears) could've locked the arm. Her self-talk and ability to smile in big moments was huge, facilitating point-by-point commitment.

Appeared on "The Tennis" as my last on-site contribution to AO 2025, breaking down Badosa & Zverev wins and previewing Swiatek vs Navarro/Sinner vs De Minaur: (Posting semi-conscious from the airport after pulling an all-nighter to watch Djokovic/Alcaraz)

So pleased for Lys. One of those who came for a training block in Aus pre-Christmas to get properly prepared. Spondylarthritis impacting her schedule is one of the reasons she's stayed in Slam qualifying draws (which she contests incredibly consistently).

If anyone can handle the heat of Kyrgios & John Cain Arena hand in hand at this stage of the event, it's going to be Fearnley. His four set 2R showing against Djokovic at Wimbledon (Grand Slam debut) was a true encapsulation of the ice in his veins and the head on his shoulders.
