I am a senior software engineer at Meta - AI writes >50% of my code but that is <20% of my job.
These demos of LLMs autonomously coding an entire app is limited to a simple demo projects.

I think on an entry level it all looks easy. Most “GPT will replace developers” fud is based on this. It only starts getting complicated when you’re working on large complex production applications which have a lot of nuance not just to build new stuff, but to not break the old.
