@writeclimbrun You actually blew my mind. I’ve been wanting to get some re-reads in on classics and never realized I could just audio them. I love middlemarch. Team Casaubon

@Whitney_Sheph Good luck on your journey! I will say, I was drinking way too much coffee when I was working in finance, and now I’ve cut back to where I enjoy the routine and aroma in the morning, but don’t feel dependent. Maybe you can still enjoy a cup in the morning?

@ArtemisConsort A lot of Yimby’s would agree that low-income housing is often counter-productive. Building more market rate housing is good for everyone. The “yes” in Yimby usually answers “should we build more?”

@michael_toriss @SperrysandNikes @joelgreyy Eh, join the army and cut your hair or go to Bali and call yourself a “tech ceo”, it’s all life experience anyway. Army gives you GI bill tho lol

@EvergreenDD @SperrysandNikes @joelgreyy Sure, dm’s always open. For anyone wondering, I say do it. OCS is always looking for smart people.

In our defense, we were already doing this before we “had to” It’s become distorted, though. Recently had a request for Soldiers representing unit that had details down to race and gender.
I do think DEI was always a particularly bad fit for the U.S. Military. A military is supposed to erase cultural and racial differences in order to build homogeneity, hierarchy, and discipline. Celebrating differences is for other parts of society.

@SperrysandNikes @joelgreyy It’s true. I quit finance, joined the army, and now going to law school to re-enter society lmao
