By attempting to seize Somali land and sea just because “Ethiopia needs it” is no different to a burglar wanting to steal property just because he needs it.
I don’t oppose the President meeting Abiy Ahmed per se, i just don’t see any positive outcome with that mindset.

Funny that the Ethiopian foreign ministry rejects the Arab League statement as interference into the sovereignty while they are violating Somalia’s territorial integrity. The statement merely stated the aggression and the Ethiopians took offense at the mention. The hypocrisy!

A sovereign country has to be able to control its own borders and possess the means to defend itself. This UN arms embargo has curtailed all efforts to be a proper country. I hope they consider positively this time around to the President’s request.
