The simple truth is that fancy designs and sophisticated animations are just for portfolio building and improving skills. The ideal world calls for simple, realistic yet functional designs. Personally, too many sophisticated animations lesser improve product's usability.
One thing I’ve learned from building my startup is that those fancy designs with extraordinary animations don’t really matter. All you need is a functional design, and that’s it.
