"Ka... cchan..." Izuku chokes as tears well in his eyes. He scrambles up from the floor to sweep his hero into a hug that knocks him off his feet, and they both tumble into the hallway with an 'oof'

Izuku rolls onto his back like a starfish, and blinks up at his longtime hero partner and love of his life standing in the doorway. Kacchan is already wearing his own hero suit, but he hasn't equipped his gauntlets yet. In his ungloved hand, he holds out a small velvet box.

Kacchan snorts and swats at Izuku's head, trying to stop him from planting wet kisses all over his cheeks.
"Kacchan IS the greatest good I'll ever get. I can't wait to be your husband!" Izuku sobs, squeezing the squirming Kacchan underneath him.

"I was really hoping to do this later, but since we both got called in, I'm guessing this might get hairy." Kacchan sighs, but he looks down at Izuku with a hopeful smile. Izuku can see that the hand holding the box is shaking. Just slightly.

"I can't believe you were gonna propose tonight!' Izuku cries. "Kacchan is amazing!"
"Would've been more amazing if I'd had time to actually get down on one knee and do the whole thing." Kacchan huffs.

"Yeah?"
"We'll be together forever."
"Damn straight! The rest of our lives."
They take off from the balcony, leaping into the sky, ready to face whatever challenge awaits them. Hand in hand.

Izuku sobs harder and squeezes him tighter against his chest. "No, this is perfect. Put the ring on me!"
Kacchan laughs as he does. "Alright, now let's go."
Izuku gets up, then extends a hand to pull his fiancé(!!) up from the floor.
"Where /did/ you put my suit?" He asks.

"It's under the bathroom sink." Kacchan tells him, bending over to pick up his fallen gauntlet. "Sorry to hide it, I just wanted to- and he's gone." Izuku hears him laugh to himself as he tears down the hall to the bathroom.

"Nerd. You are already wearing my ring." Kacchan laughs softly. He thrusts his hand out, impatiently. "Gimme."
Izuku puts the ring on his finger and then flips his hand to press a soft kiss into his open palm. "I love you."

Kacchan's eyes, which had been misty before when Izuku had enthusiastically accepted his proposal, begin to well up and overflow.
"Oh..." He says softly, looking down at the ring.

He presses a button on the inside of his wrist and a small compartment opens up in the suit. Kacchan's mouth falls open as Izuku reaches in and grabs the thin gold band he's had tucked away inside for a couple weeks.
"Kacchan is the most amazing." Izuku says, bending a knee.

He wrenches open the cabinet door and grabs his briefcase, pressing a button on the side and giving it a quick shake so that the suit inside springs out and surrounds him like a second skin.
"You're eager." Kacchan says wryly as Izuku rejoins him in the hall.
Izuku hums.

Izuku doesn't let go of the hand he's holding as they make their way out onto their open air balcony.
