2) Sexualization. It has to be borderline misogynistic. I simply hate how most female characters in MHA are an object of sex appeal, especially at the beginning (looking at you Mt Lady, Midnight, Momo) like why?

1) Momo Yaoyorozu. My problem with Momo is her background. Yes, her non-existent parents and her own motive to become a hero. We don't know it cause we are never shown? All we know is that she comes from a rich bg and that's that.

And Momo? Why is her costume so revealing? . If a costume can be prepared for Mirio (whose quirk literally allows him to pass through anything) then why not Momo? . It's kinda funny that her future version, at least has her chest fully covered (when it was her last appearance).

She focuses on mental health and often visits universities to give lectures about it. She is helping the new generation to be more open about their quirks. She is often asked 'what inspired her?' and she replies 'it was a girl with the cutest smile in the whole world'.

Remember that episode with Saiko Intelli where Momo, Tsuyu etc pass the provisional hero license exam? . It was an ANIME ORIGINAL ep because in the manga, it was never shown how they passed. Same with the final arc, we have Momo fighting Twice clones at the end and that was it.

My problem is that even though we are shown her growth, it feels hollow when we don't even know what she's even working on. Compare it to Iida who got an entire arc about his brother and Saving and that arc became his drive forward.

Being rich is basically her second quirk because that's all we know about her. Even when we visit her ultra big mansion, we never meet her parents or go in depth with her own motives. Like why do you wanna become a hero? What kind of a hero do you wanna become?

Even when Momo got her own RISING chapter, it was still nowhere compared to Iida's arc. Like, they're both class presidents and she's also one of the recommended students along with Todoroki and yet when we compare her arc with Todoroki or even Iida, it feels very incomplete.

Again and again it feels like only female characters get the short end of the stick. Most anime original episodes are for highlighting the female cast, eg Tsuyu's internship, Momo and team vs Saiko, Ochako and Tsuyu's work studies etc were all anime original episodes.

Fun fact: In manga, chapter 248 cover shows Team Ryukyu going on a mission but the anime staff decided to make an entire episode out of it. Yes, it's the ep where Ochako lifts an entire seaplane. Other characters like Selkie and Sirius were also added to the manga later on.

Hawks didn't wanna kill Jin Bubaigawara but he did because in his way, he was trying to be a hero, so he brutally killed his own friend but then what kind of hero does that? In MHA, there's a very thin line between heroes and villains and that has been pointed out several times.

Maybe that's one of the reasons why the highest ranking female character in the last poll was Ochako, and that too at no 9 spot. Before that she was no 10 and before that, for two polls back to back, no female characters made it to the top 10. It sucks but it's the truth.

Ochako and Toga are very similar. They're both very cute and shy, they love to tie their hair up in buns, and even love the same boy which is why when Ochako wasn't able to empathize with Toga, she was hurt because she thought at least chako would understand.

#MHA356 #Ochakouraraka.I don't think IzuOcha is the endgame. look, we're already in the endgame of MHA and with how Horikoshi has literally been speedruning all of the arcs since Villain Hunt, we should have gotten a confession by now, that is if it was ever meant to happen.

I still remember people calling her useless, saying what is she gonna do against the big boys etc etc when she literally ended up saving everyone directly or indirectly on that same battlefield!.

@amaranthdahlia Tiny detail: Ochako's hair color is kinda Orangish in the manga but it is brown in the anime.

Because we've seen from the very start that he's not some dumb dense MC that has no Emotional Quotient. Being a very sensitive person himself, he is very aware of what others are feeling, be it Iida, Shouto or even Bakugo. However in their case his feelings are more pronounced.

And by how perceptive he is, I really mean how perceptive he is when it comes to Ochako.

Can we all agree that Ochako's speech and the TogaChako fight were some of the most emotional moments of MHA?

But when it comes to Ochako, they are subtle and you need to read behind the lines. But when you look deeply he has always been very perceptive about Ochako. Remember, he went to check up on her after she lost her battle? Even at that time, he could tell something was off.

The next instance comes during the pro hero exam when he realised that the person he was saving was not in fact Ochako! And that goes to show you how closely he's been observing her. We've never seen him make notes about her, but he already knew so much!

Because Toga copied Ochako from head to toe and yet Deku could tell it wasn't the real one because the real one is smarter and strategic and she wouldn't risk revealing herself to the enemy without a solid plan. Goes to show you how much faith he has on her.

And as the series goes on, they start having less one-on-one conversations as important stuff comes up but whenever they had their little scenes, they were always gold. Like, look at this entire conversation++
