Yes, but to be fair the ANC never pretended the GNU was anything but that
The plan is clearly to expand the GNU with numerous little parties most of whom share the ANC’s ideological worldview so that the DA’s influence is watered down and then it’s business as usual. Time to pivot to confidence and supply. Or just outright opposition.

@mattyglesias ANC and PA are definitely not center-right on economics… seems like the focus of the government will be reform and privatisation of some state-owned firms with a continued focus on welfare

@dhume Neither Mandela nor Mbeki really followed this path though… private enterprise was welcomed and efforts were even made to privatize the ailing Eskom electricity company, which frustrated the leftist ANC factions. The pro-left Zuma’s victory is what really changed fortunes

@Noahpinion With a capital in ruins, and ethnic cleansing in Darfur (again). A classic case of international ignorance (again).

@Noahpinion It’s probably a sign of the economy doing well too - more jobs, less time to engage in rhetoric (Polls showing dissatisfaction with the economy not withstanding).

Chuffed to have written a piece for BusinessLive with Adam Hilelly about how India and Africa can work together to make the African Continental Free Trade Area reach its true potential! #India #Africa #AfCFTA #GlobalSouth #trade

@theidlethinker @aparanjape @Abhina_Prakash @timesofindia There is Line 8, which connects to the current airport as well as Line 2B and hopefully, Kurla station. But yes, there is a need for additional connectivity to the new airport.

Interesting, and confirms my belief that even if the Supreme Court legalises same-sex marriage, getting it registered with the bureaucrats would be next to impossible in large parts of India.
Same-sex marriage | A group of former judges, former IPS officers and former bureaucrats write an open letter to President Droupadi Murmu, with a "request for intervention for saving of Indian cultural traditions, religious tenets and social values." "...If we revise the law to make same-sex sexual union rational, acceptable or moral, it will open the doors to same-sex sexual culture. Our society and culture do not accept same-sex behavioural institution because it is offensive to our values, besides being irrational and unnatural..," reads the letter.

@tanvi_madan Hmmm more than Russia, certainly. However, Indian trade with China is far too vast to write it off. That said, you’re right, we need to strengthen relationships with the west and not underestimate their importance.

@PatienceXina I knowww but love’s story was a bit different compared those of the scores of male serial killers we see on tv, so her journey would’ve been exciting to watch I also think this is the last season so I guess he will find marianne and she might either expose him or die.

Airports prior to privatisation were dark, dingy and always had half of its check-in and immigration counters non-functional. Yes, there are issues with the airports right now, but the state, which already has other financial burdens can’t be taking up airport control
Everyone is nitpicking what or who is to blame for the mess at Delhi airport, or what people have seen is the marked decline in the quality of services at the Mumbai airport. Somehow, both airports being privatised and run for a profit never comes up.
