It’s an amazing beautiful world full of beautiful people making beautiful things and spreading love and joy and it will still be that amazing beautiful world if we wake up Wednesday and find out the worlds ugliest man was elected. He can destroy a lot but not nearly all of it.

If your country elects a man as repugnant and ignorant as that guy, then you’ll have to see that’s what your country is and then your job will be not to make it good but just a little less awful.

@NPortnell I paid no attention to the Everlys because they were from the fifties and I found them quaint. Until I heard the records they made in this period like this and Sing and Two Yanks in England. They were considered irrelevant by that time. It’s too bad.

I just saw a post asking who was a better drummer, Ginger Baker or Ian Paice? Why would you care what a random person thinks about something that can’t be answered? I’m vintage myself but can’t you find a more relevant question to ask. Aren’t there any new drummers?

I listened once to Greendale and Living with War and basically concluded that though this man made good records for more decades than just about anyone, I was going to stick with the first three decades and let go of the rest.

@Marc_Fagel @borissentme I love Tonight’s the night. I love a few more mostly from that period. I don’t love Harvest but ii played it the other day and I’m probably a bit hard on it . I’m sure there are pleasures in his least wonderful records but there’s only so much time and space.

@_motherslug If you’re listening to a record a great deal and you think it’s near perfect then I’m sure any artist would be fine you weren’t their hurt hugest fan. I think I know his hugest fan actually. I’m the one who turned them on to the guy. I wasnt the hugest but I inspired the hugest.
