@wmorrill3 @Hilbe We have reached out to @wmorrill3 and will engage in dialogue in order to have his opinion on our DC extension cord. Maybe we can learn from his experience and adjust accordingly. A few key points for everyone else :.- Temperature sensor switches on both ends of the extension.

@itskyleconner Hi Kyle, .Thanks a lot for your comments. *not an electrical engineer* .We understand those concerns and those are important points you are mentioning. That's true and that is one of the reasons why there are temperature sensor-switches inside the adapter. Over-boosting of.

Congratulations to the @SAEIntl and the EV industry. We were part of the J3400 and J3400/1 standard committee and we can testify that a lot of work has been put in by various experts, OEMs and stakeholders to make this a guidance towards safe products. This committee allowed us.
At @thebatteryshow we announced the release of the SAE J3400™ Recommended Practice, a significant step forward in EV charging infrastructure. J3400 addresses the need for greater consistency and interoperability across EV charging systems. Learn more:

Thank you @tommolog for the initial review, looking forward to your experience.
Nissan LEAF owners rejoice! It may be about ten years late, but finally, there's an adapter that will allow CHAdeMO EVs to charge on CCS1 DC fast chargers.

We are partnering with @Hilbe to giveaway a NACS to CCS1 adapter to one lucky Rivian owner. More giveaways will come soon. Please read the quoted post.
**Attention Rivian Owners**. I'm giving away (2) @a2zev NACS to CCS1 adapters - the adapter I personally bought and another from A2Z directly. See below information if you are interested. WHY: I have a Rivian R1S with VIN in the 9000s and just got my official Rivian NACS DC.

Actually, the @cybertruck is very impressive, very massive and very good looking in real life. The online photos and videos do not do it enough justice. We just visited @Tesla Laval 🇨🇦 and we are 😮. Kudos on the people behind this big toy!

@brandenflasch @cwstnsko We have implemented changes on this particular model. The door sensor/switch is connector to the proximity and if :.- the door is not closed.- the CCS1 connector not fully inserted. The adapter will not allow any current through since the proximity is "broken".

Well, well, well. 160kW (250A) #NACS 3rd party charger - charging @ 152kW on this #ioniq6 with the #a2zev NACS to CCS1 adapter, the Typhoon Plug. Finalizing safety & more testing before release. Special thanks to our tester @FalconFour .

@marc_benton @DavidFontneau Yes. Only V3 and V4 Superchargers (250kw). Not all of them are open to CCS1 vehicles though.

@firefoxsimpp @brandenflasch If the switch is faulty, the adapter will not work. The proximity is by default broken.

@1PedalLightning In the works, needs more testing, especially temperature rise. Nothing negative, just a lot of testing before a release.

@PotenDiff @Eric_L_Roe @brandenflasch @Ford Temperature sensors within the adapter send signal through resistance value to EVSE and EV, allowing for thermal fold-back or shutdown when threshold is reached. Quality of materials, internal temperature, heat management, placement of temperature sensor switches and such will.

🙌 thank you @bowefamily for sharing your results!.
Visiting the @ChargePointnet Corporate offices in CA to test out the NACS to CCS adapter from @a2zev It supports up to 1000v and 500a and is charging my @Ford Lightning perfectly. Its a great sign of things to come with @Tesla and I'm super excited for the opening of the

@itskyleconner @macheauto @tommolog Since the adapter is still under improvement with the help of car manufacturers, we can't confirm final specs for now. Once the adapter is released, we will have all detailed specs shown on our website. One of our main goals is to deliver a 100% safe & certified product to the.

@macheauto @Ford @Tesla @TeslaCharging Hi Matt,. Thank you for trusting us. The first 1-3 uses are a bit difficult, but it gets a lot smoother afterwards. Our lock completely prevents withdrawals under load, even if you exercise excessive force. On the other hand, our charge port fitment is one of the best in the.

@itskyleconner Answered ↑ .We would like to address that we have not publicly released the adapter yet. Why? .We are making sure that everything checks out in terms of safety. I think that we have to stop seeing things negatively. The final version will be certified.

@teslaownersSV The way Elon Musk guided his companies towards efficiency can be very beneficial for any government bureaucracy. Making everything less complicated, automated and efficient is the way to go. Governments around the world are still working with archaic methods and their systems are.

@GradyZ58 @itskyleconner Actually, the vehicle's charge-port and the charging connector are equipped with temperature sensors which are constantly monitored. When the charging station's connector detects a ''high'' temperature on the DC pins, the charging station reduces the charging performance and the.

@firefoxsimpp @brandenflasch You can also literally use scissors in a 240V outlet, it’s easy to do. Should you? Absolutely not. This adapter is intended to be used a certain way and we made sure that if the door remains open, you can’t charge. If the CCS handle is not properly inserted, it won’t charge.
