The Beast | by Tekkusai I won’t lie, I was skeptical about the hype. I am very gracious to Tek for sending this out. He really believed in this and I can see why. The unboxing was great and the pad was extremely well packaged. The box did seem overly big until I opened to remember the pad is 2mm glass. The unboxing was amazing and very pleasant. You get a thank you card, a “The Beast” branded cleaning cloth, a single pack of Silver Fox PTFE skates from @UnwsGear, and finally “The Beast” itself. When I pulled it out it was mind blowing just how thin this is. I may be 2mm pilled now. I’m genuinely blown away and can’t wait for all the other 2mm pads that are on the way. After getting it placed the first thing I did was put a fresh set of Silver Fox skates on my Hitscan Hyperlight. This was the second time I was blown away because my mouse is still flying somewhere. Using this pad feels so effortless and precise. Something I want to add is often glass and ceramic pads can be fairly scratchy sounding or just noisy in general but this surface paired with the silver foxes sounds so much quieter to other pads I’ve used to me. Maybe I’m crazy though. I genuinely can’t wait to get more time on this pad.
