I don't see a huge difference in halftime shows year to year, acoustics are terrible in those stadiums, even worse for ppl watching TV. It's a show of virtue signaling to SM. Everyone gets criticized.

I taught inner city black students & know mother's struggling to raise their sons & what they want for them. It's not last night's halftime show.
