I had this theory:
The problem is that it's becoming increasingly clear that I don't actually have a life, and all I can think of is جامعة الخرطوم و أصحابي و السنتر and that's sad enough wallahi

The US embassy did us, US citizens dirty.
First of all when they first started evacuating US citizens, they didn't tell us which country we'll be flying to, which wasn't a problem cause we left at the same day and went to Cyprus.

When we arrived there they told us that they have NO intentions on evacuating US citizens if we are not welling to pay. Unlike all other Sudanese who were evacuated by their other countries, we were left at the camp that we arrived in
Many individuals and families (including mine) who had no idea with such decisions made by the US government, didn't have the resources to pay for the loan (offered by the US government which was double the price of normal tickets) or buy their own tickets out of Cyprus.
My family and i managed to gather money to pay for our own tickets out of there but when we left the camp that day many families and individuals were still there not knowing what to do or where to go in a totally foreign country
