One thing I will never understand is how people persist in spelling your name incorrectly when it’s spelt correctly in your email address and email signature?!
How do you arrange your books?
I found myself organizing mine according to categories- poetry, nonfiction, fiction. My fiction books are then separated into Caribbean (the heaviest shelves), African, African American, Black British and the rest of the world.
This blew up 😅 follow me on Instagram for more bookish content! If you struggle with reading, I would recommend starting with 15-20 minutes a day and choose a set time in the day to do it. It adds up! Happy New Year and happy reading! 🙏🏾💛
My amazing Mumma passed her PhD Viva with minor corrections today! Your strength, courage and tenacity has been such an inspiration. I am so proud of you. Dr P Muir! Another PhD in the family! Best birthday present ever!

I dedicated my first book to my Caribbean grandparents who came to the UK in the 1950s and 1960s - the Windrush generation.
Two out of four are still with us and when I handed my 90 year old grandad his copy, he said ‘thank you for naming us’ 🥹🥹

FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS published by

is out today ✨✨✨
This article was the funniest thing to come out of my book deal announcement. FULL of misinformation - I’m not Nigerian, I didn’t study English Lit at Cambridge, I don’t have stories published in those places, I didn’t say what was quoted and that’s not my editor 😂😂
And it’s a wrap, book tour DONE! 💪🏾
It’s been such an incredible summer of having my first book baby launched into the world - still very surreal. Thank you all so much for the love and support, I feel so so blessed 💛🥹
Now to rest, reflect and catch flights✌🏾
When going to see
@BernardineEvari
open your local community centre’s new library (named after her!) turns into an impromptu invitation to join the Q&A to speak about your journey 😭 Such testament her continual support for new writers and always paying it forward. A dream 💛
So grateful for the life of my Grandad who was such a man of God and a blessing to all that knew him. Thankful that I was able to spend some quality time w/ him over the summer in Jamaica - the best decision I made all year. Rest in peace Grandad and thank you for everything 💛🙏🏾
