I noticed the term #inflation is trending today. Well, it certainly makes sense... I like steak and when something good happens I like to treat myself. Yesterday, August 14th, the government announced the rate of inflation went down. I was happy. I went to the store to buy some steak. When I got there, it was $29.99 per pound. I was shocked. I’ve never seen steak prices that high in my life. I had to walk away, just based on principle. A year ago, it was $8.99 per pound and I thought that was a luxury then. I bought some steak at the end of June, on sale, for $9.99 per pound, down from $13.99 per pound. Now I'm supposed to believe the rate of inflation is down, are they kidding me? 🤔 Who is responsible for calculating these inflation numbers and what metrics are they using to figure it out? #EconomyNews #Election2024 #Recession
