Just had a look at the old plans and it's disappointing that the angled windows facade treatment to prevent overlooking wasn't supported. Reinstating up to 4 or 5 storeys should be considered less onerous. Perhaps there's a way that developments like these can be incentivised.

The way things are now, when it comes to viability, it will likely be less risk and more profitable for them to demolish and start afresh.

Rental incomes can provide a revenue stream for the council etc. We're keeping an eye on public tenders etc but if we can assist in any other ways/knowledge share, do let me know
