It’s very disappointing to see Sim Racing represented so poorly again in a big event. It may be a “game”, but people make huge real world sacrifices & dedicate massive amounts of time preparing for these events and they deserve better. I fear many big names won’t commit again.

Sim Racing brings joy in unexpected ways.
This gentleman was diagnosed with rapidly progressing Parkinson’s Disease a few years ago and is unfortunately no longer able to drive a real car. But we were able to help his son hook him up with a rig he can use to experience driving

is doing. Regardless of if you’re a fan of his content or not, the guy came from absolutely nothing, created his own opportunities, jumped in the deep end and is killing it under massive pressure. Respect!

Seeing a big increase lately in the number of emails I receive from sim racers desperate for help because manufactures apparently don’t respond to support emails.
Big and small companies are guilty.
Keeping customers is much harder than getting them. Do better!

One of my favourite things to do in videos is randomly switch between saying “Fana-tec” and “Fa-na-tec” for absolutely no reason.
This ensures as many people as possible tell me I’m wrong in the comments.

Nothing screams entitlement and puts vendors off more than content creators trying to strong-arm them into sending out samples via public tweets.
They don’t care how many followers you have. They care what value you bring to them and the audience.

The amount of abuse sim racing hardware reviewers have copped in the last few weeks is honestly disgusting.
I don’t feel dissimilar to
@randomcallsign
. I’ve averaged 3 hours a night sleep for the past 3 weeks trying to help people and get answers. We are all doing our best.
Seeing comments that I shouldn't cover hardware because Fanatec has problems, is another big reason why I want to leave simracing reviewing forever.
Simracing has some of the best information for hardware out there and the community wants to shoot itself in the foot.

I couldn't help but notice the similarities to Senna's fatal crash in the aftermath of Schumacher's crash on the weekend.
Plenty of innovation in F1 since, but they say Senna would have walked away too if not for being hit in the head by parts.
Schumacher was very lucky.

Best advice I can give any content creator is “Your vibe attracts your tribe”.
Don’t try to be everything to everyone, but make the content you genuinely enjoy. Put yourself in the viewers shoes and ask what value your content is bringing. Entertainment value is equally valid.

Reviewers should not use a disclosure statement to try and convince viewers they aren't biased. Nobody is completely unbiased.
Reviewers should disclose any potential source of bias so the viewer can make their own judgment. The content should then speak for itself.
