Hello Twitter -- an otherwise lengthly thread🧵 today, if I may. This is a picture of my dad, Steve. I tend to get really emotional when I talk about my dad. He is deeply empathetic with the sort of grounding, nurturing presence that few possess.

@jgfagerberg Dated a guy for three years who was like fourth generation Massachusettsan and if his mom didn’t make damn near everyone of those things. Side note: I really miss that woman’s clam stuffies…

@andreavbecker Every DEI meeting I’ve ever been a part of is an endless loop of discussing what to discuss at the next discussion. It’s like “Here is what we’d like to discuss. Now let’s spend the next 25 minutes figuring out what day works for everyone to discuss those things.”

@FromPhDtoLife I pet sit! Honestly the greatest gig. I typically stay in the home with the dog, gives me a space where I can hyperfocus on schoolwork without my usual distractions.
