@netmunder Lol do you? Domi is a slick passer with decent hands and vision, but he does not win puck battles (the coach has actually mentioned wanting Domi to stay more involved in that area) and the only players on the team with fewer hits per 60 are Rielly, Tanev, and Nylander.

For a team that is as top heavy as the Leafs, they just can’t afford to spend $3.75 million on a negative impact player. You can’t hit and unearth a Bobby McMann every time, but this team, in particular, can’t make such big mistakes around the margins.
