Interesting to see statistics like this regarding “priorities” of immigration. Where do you stand? Did you know that the % of the US population that was foreign born was highest in 1890 with 14.8%? Currently we are around 14.3% @pewresearch
Americans say some immigrants should get more priority for legal admission - 42% say this about highly-skilled workers - 25% say this about people who fill labor shortages - 19% say this about people who have close family members in the U.S.
