Eight years ago today, I got the call that my big brother had died. He took a pill that he thought was OxyContin.. it was almost pure Fentanyl.
I share to remind people that addiction + mental illness impacts us ALL. Be kind, dismiss stigma and listen, rather than judge 🤍

I always dread Feb. 28th — it' shoots me back to the worst day of my life... the day my big brother accidentally OD'd and died.
He was a smiling force- a bruiser on the ice- and a loving sibling. He was so much more than the stigma that comes with the word "addict".

In personal news, I DID IT. 108km in a day.
It was tough, technical and pouring rain. I almost threw in the towel twice but managed to struggle through the last 19KM to get my new PB on longest run ever!

#vaccination
apt booked for April 2. Dad, on April 9th.
She’s 65, a cancer survivor and living with diabetes. She also happened to be an emergency nurse for 30 years.
