No, fair game. It is a competition. That is not messing up the bracket integrity. Cheating, floating, collusion, etc are “messing up the bracket integrity”. You didn’t get “blocked”, you lost. Some of the best storylines are when people advance further than expected.
FGC, anyone else find it kinda crappy when someone enters a huge multi day tourney, KNOWING they can't compete the next day. Basically messing up the bracket integrity and blocking other people that traveled far for this one opportunity? Is it selfish? Shitty? Fair game? I'm torn

This is actually the correct take.
If you want to dominate, everything should be mapped out in your head before playing the match. The match is just the execution. It takes time to develop strategy to this state, so it only happens in mature games like melee, UMVC3, MvC2, etc.
controversial melee take: i think every game you play should be on autopilot. gather information outside of the game consciously, but when you're playing, it should be completely automatic. if you lose, you didn't have enough information beforehand - stop trying to "play better"

UMVC3 is a 10+ year old game with few casual players left. Everyone still playing is pretty hardcore/dedicated and I think would be ok with this. If you want this to truly be the big UMVC3 event of the year it should be $20 entry.
With all the discourse on player entry fee to the total pot recently, should I up the price for game entry at XFACTORY HAPPY BIRTHDAY to $20 for more money in the end to the players? What do you guys think? Let me know! (Reminder this is also including the guaranteed pot bonuses)
