Excited that this work has now been published! In my postdoc with @AgustinMIbanez, we conducted a large, multi-modal neuroimaging meta-analysis to investigate how #interoception, #emotion, and #socialcognition converge in dementia. Thanks to the great team for this huge effort!
The Allostatic Interoceptive Network (AIN) suggests interoception, social cognition, and emotion overlap across neurodegeneration. In @BiologicalPsyc1 we conducted a metanalysis of 6,985 participants (atrophy, functional connectivity & metabolism: and found key AIN regions involved across these domains, especially in frontotemporal dementia. 🧵1/4
