This was so much fun - a marked departure from hosting quizzes in college (last of which was in 2021). Thanks to the 70+ odd people that showed up to quiz on a Sunday afternoon braving BLR traffic.

Today marked my first official day at my first ever full time job as a manager at a tech major ✨. Grateful to my mother, family and friends (incl a multitude of seniors & juniors) who have lent their support in many many ways 🤗.

The audacity of forcing re-exams that all of us already gave in the Christmas to New Year period. I couldn't go to a funeral function, and was giving exams in 31st Dec & 1 Jan with music playing in speakers in my society. Despotic rulers who rule and we keep mum.

Ironic how during Shivratri, at least 1000+ civilian crowd was let in the bio-bubble campus of IIM-I during the raging pandemic — now however, this college claims it cannot handle the parents of 600 students for the convocation - a day very important for all of us & our families.

IITs are truly graveyards for students from the marginalised communities. I know a bunch of IITians all in the same friend group - about 2 years after graduating most of them still lament about reservation, about merit & “unfairness” - this when there are dalits in their group 1/.
Despite numerous so-called elite institutions becoming graveyards for Dalit students, there is yet no discourse on the factors that worsen the mental trauma in these institutions and the need for urgent action to prevent future tragedies.

He passed away from Cancer in his early 30s. The theory was some bus accident caused tumors. I was barely a year old. Naturally no recollection. Maybe one made-up memory based on the stories I've been told, the photos & his home where I've been many many times. 2/.

why this hype for UPSC when people who clear CAT are making your decisions and doing your work for you? Do we really need so much of the population vying and preparing for years on years to be pencil pushers 🙂.
This indicates a new form of governance. Whether it is right or wrong depends on the nuances. Big questions- was this avoidable? is there question of incompetence or justification of fairness/ best practices? A debate if necessary.

really hope that these kids (your age doesn’t matter here) bag a summer internship. The honesty tho is refreshing, this 100% number is overused and misused by many old IIMs like mine does on most years.
Over 100 MBA students at IIM-Bangalore were unsuccessful in this year’s summer internship placements. That means 1 in 6. This is a scary stat for the entire MBA ecosystem.

Maa had a relatively more privileged outbringing. Large UC family, all with "govt" jobs. Support all the way. Something maa tells me about my father &even with regards to her younger sister who recently passed. Both, didn't really get to enjoy the fruits of their labour. 7/.

Saw Argentina 1985 in the Bengaluru International Film Festival today. It is a movie covering the historic trials of the fascist military junta’s genocide in Argentina. Despite harrowing it is a film that is awe-inspiring, gives a lot of hope, especially in these times.
