Rare stuff here. Donna says hi!
Domy 33 in pretty great shape. Almost kept this one for my self but I don't need any more haha
Yes it's sold :(
@pepe_salot
Something something about growing our inventory and space this year. It's finally been happening! Another 38 machines coming next week as well as even more I'm a few months.
Today I saved a Japanese Nanao MS2932 monitor I picked up for free locally. He said it didn't work anymore.
The blue color gun had terrible emissions and zero cutoff but now I got it looking great 👍
Here's an old clip of me totally losing my mind over this official Taito IO to Noir Adapter for a Noir HD that came in. It was converted to play Magicians Dead and I had never bothered to check the IO until this video lol.
Did you know the blast cabs can just link with a single 50pin ribbon cable? Because I did not!?
However doing it this way means if you use 31khz VGA, you need to do that separately. Maybe use a powered VGA splitter?
A true testament to the blast forward thinking versatility
When in doubt recheck your work. I spent almost a week hunting for issues after a recap and found one single damaged solder pad in the PSU section. Fixed and boom back to life!!
Let it be known that my all time favorite STG is now in my possession!
I have more hours in this game than any other arcade game I have ever played.
One day I will try to go for a full entire clear! My PB on steam is 18 Billion but I can do better than that some day :)
One more cab in the back logs fixed up. This one had a problem where the blue would randomly flicker brighter and darker. Turned out to be dry cracked solder joints of the color transistor. Fixed 💪
We can rebuild her, we have the technology!
The project begins now.
Just do a little bit during my down time here and there and it will be good as new!
The first step is addressing the plastic control panel damage.
The blast city gets too much hate by some people. Though understandably they can be a complete pain to work on if the monitor has serious issues. These two are running very well for their age and just got their chassis's recapped too.
If you didn't know, you can replace the metal clips on your flyback anode cup. The rubber cup is just a boot and slides off. Desolder the clip solder a new one on. Done
Life has been a total roller coaster for the past 9 months now. I think it's finally starting to normalize and I'm getting solid footing again. It's still not easy but somehow I'm doing the best I can and making really big positive decisions and changes that should pay off!!
Today is a cleaning day. Life has been moving really fast for me so I had to take a moment to clean up messy stuff.
The garagecade was a nightmare of parts and stuff laying around. Now that's cleaned up too!! Also installed Shredders Revenge, haven't had time to play much tho.
I finally got around to fixing this chassis that had a "bad" demag. I checked EVERYTHING and at the end of the day realized the demag wires for the connection on the chassis were pinned wrong.. why idk..
Eventually I'll have this brought to a show but when 🤔😁.
Was unsure how I would like exa mode frankly but it's actually not bad and well done I dig it!
Did you know they made 16:9 aspect 1080i CRTs :) this is amusing to play with. Now I just need a retro tink 5x or something to do some scaling experiments
Namco classics vol1 saved. Missing VR2, bad leaking caps, and a broken trace on the main program rom. Now to recap and clean the rest of the board too.
