Timmy Masso, of the Tla-o-qui-aht First Nation, is still in high school, but has already earned a Nuu-chah-nulth Language Proficiency Certificate, an Indigenous Language Revitalization Diploma, and is halfway through a Bachelor of Education degree.

The B.C. Government recently announced an historic $50m investment towards First Nations #LanguageRevitalization. We're thrilled to receive this funding and will work closely with First Nations communities throughout B.C. to help ensure Indigenous languages survive and thrive.

First Nations language learning in B.C. is on the rise. “There are about 17,000 people learning their First Nations language here in British Columbia,” our CEO Tracey Herbert tells @CBC. That’s 3,106 more learners than in 2018!.
