We raise our hands to @GordJohns for his advocacy and support in securing long-term sustainable funding for First Nations language revitalization in B.C. First Nations people have a right to their languages. Investing in cultural revitalization is a step toward reconciliation.
Federal funding for Indigenous language programs must be fair, predictable, sustained & long-term. Revival of language is essential to reconciliation. Allocation of federal @CdnHeritage funding must reflect high concentration of languages in B.C. @_FPCC .
