Vitalik's reply to the @Shillverstein post wasn't whining. It was talking to a fellow Milady in need by sharing things in his life that upset him and how he works through it. It made the message more human. What else was he going to say, "no hahah don't kill yourself?" Also you're repeating bad information from the 2022 cancel hoax ( while ignoring the big tent that is Milady

@InfiniteGwei L2s are not inherently parasitic; rollups represent the best way to scale Ethereum in the medium term. The only problem is the lack of exit window.

@zengjiajun_eth Fake exit window; I personally don't think @l2beat should even have it listed as seven days when a mechanism exists that can override it.

My point is the point of issues with current L2s and the crux of their tactical failure to actually inherit Ethereum's security. This is more important than the fragmentation that people overindex on. Using an L2 should be as secure as using Ethereum and it simply is not today.

An exit window is the duration of time wherein a user can escape an L2 even if every single person operating the L2 actively conspired against them; no L2 has one yet (Arbitrum's listed one is fake and can be overridden via instant security council upgrade). You should not recommend L2s without understanding how they work.

The worst misconception in Ethereum is the red herring of sequencer decentralization. It's entirely unnecessary for an L2 to be safe to use and has nothing to do with the exit windows that still don't fucking exist. Sigil sequencer will very likely be centralized at launch.
