I also wasn't sure which approach I should go with for poses like this where only the hind legs are used to hold the weight. The first one is just sitting down on the hind legs, and the latter is basically full on bipedal posing. I'm a bit indecisive here. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Fluttershy Render. Few things have changed a bit. Wing visual overhaul since last time they've appeared (though not the main focus of this render), and the muzzle/snout being reworked a bit topologically and shape-wise.

The comic artists are starting it off real strong for G5 comics, I think they nailed the art style so far. I expect the comics will have the best visual appeal for future G5 media that doesn't have glaring visual quirks. It's just solid illustration and I love it.

You know what? I like this. I can nit-pick a little bit with how the eyes are placed on the model, but that's it.
Honestly, I'm pretty jealous of the hair shading. I'd absolutely love to know how to actually use Blender hair particle systems like this to do this for my models.

It's really interesting to see a fairly early version of these models. Obviously they were still experimenting with facial structure at this point, but there's other things too, like how the fur coat is almost entirely in small clumps, instead of the more felt-like material.

Had the random urge to finally implement the hair experiments I was doing last year into my model for mane & tail.. And I'm SOOO happy with how it's looking now!
And the best part: THE HAIR IS STILL MESHES. No hair particles, no curves. Just layered meshes.

'Twas a productive night on stream. Color swapping, Cutie Mark, and significant progress made on the mane in just 4 hours. Hopefully will be back to streaming this later this week. Still need to finish the rest of the mane as well as work on Fluttershy's unique eye shape.
