We made each other a promise today. We will revisit this when we make it a reality. It’s just a matter of time. Manifesting with @TheNameIsYash

We honestly believe transparency does lead to ethical practices. Imagine if fast fashion (the cheap labels) put out their making cost, in addition to raw materials used and the factories where they were made. It would expose their low cost of manufacturing either coming from cheap fabrics/raw material or exploitation of labour. Nothing good comes out of cheap.

Let me get into BTS of this product feature. We are comparing like to like products (same silhouette - fabric usage should be same, colour- dying costs should be same and same fabric -so cost of fabric is same) and not just with similar looking products which are made out of polyster in some sweat shops. So yes we are expecting the established brands to have similar cost of making if not better than us, for the scale they are at. That means they should be having more margins than us.

“Black Friday” has dominated discussions among fashion brands recently. The primary reason for their enthusiasm is to clear out old inventory through significant discounts. Yes, your read it right. Nothing trendy is put on sale. You might wonder how brands manage such steep price cuts. Many inflate production costs, misleading consumers about the actual savings during sales like Black Friday. This tactic creates an illusion of discounts while promoting unsustainable practices. So starting this Black Friday, we at decided to offer 100% transparency in pricing and have conducted direct comparisons with competitors. By disclosing true production costs—including materials and labor—we aim to build trust and encourage ethical consumption, countering misleading sales tactics. #consciousconsumerism

E-commerce transcends being merely a discount platform; it serves as a vital instrument for brands to connect with customers on a global scale in a cost-effective manner. By broadening their offerings beyond local markets, e-commerce provides consumers with an extensive array of choices. This, coupled with exceptional service and fair pricing, allows it to coexist harmoniously with traditional retail. To address concerns regarding predatory pricing, as highlighted by honurable minister @PiyushGoyal ji, I believe its time for the following measures: 1)Price Parity: E-commerce platforms should align their prices with those of their physical retail partners to ensure fairness. 2)Minimum Advertised Price: Brands should retain the authority to establish minimum prices to prevent undercutting by retailers. The government should also play a crucial role by: 1)Enforcing Regulations: Implementing strict adherence to price parity and minimum advertised price policies. 2) Facilitating Dialogue: Encouraging communication between online and offline retailers to resolve issues and foster collaboration. Ultimately, consumers should have the freedom to choose. By cultivating a fair and competitive marketplace, we can empower consumers while safeguarding the interests of both online and offline businesses.
