It was an honour to host H.E. Ambassador Murad Baseer @muradbaseer, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Zimbabwe (@PakinZimbabwe), during his courtesy visit to ARIPO this morning. On behalf of the Director General @BemanyaT, the Director of Finance @BenMwabaMulenga received the Ambassador. Discussions centered on advancing IP development in Africa, promoting the ARIPO IP system among Pakistani nationals, and exploring future collaborations.

This two-day workshop, organized by ARIPO and AfrIPI @AfricaIPR, reviews the communications initiatives executed in 2024 by IP Offices in the 22 ARIPO Member States. The focus was on advancing awareness of #intellectualproperty (IP), educating on protecting innovations and creativity, and guiding where to seek protection. Some of the initiatives in 2024 included the use of an IP Communications Toolbox, collaboration with influencers to promote IP, and the establishment of the IP Journalists Awards. 🎉 #IP4Development
