This high school argument why this cannot be true is that at high temperature things moving and changing quickly and hence order cannot be established and hence no symmetry breaking is possible.

An undergrad would say that at high temperature entropy dominates and the entropy of states which are dis-ordered is by definition higher than that of ordered states and hence the free energy without order is lower and hence no symmetry breaking can take place.

it seems like a tautology to me that this is the most easily manipulated group . I mean young people in general. That is why people are recruited to the military at the age of 18 before they know better and that is why you can pretty much convince them of anything at that age.

The real problem is the ballooning of university administration. Universities are viewed as a business, and faculty members are viewed through the lens of balance sheets. I have encountered university administrators that don’t even understand why faculty members are needed 😄

Indeed. There are operations with infinite sums which are legal and there are some that are not. A quick way to understand which operations are legal is to replace the infinite sum by
(1/2)^{-s}+(3/2)^{-s}+…
And then do only operations which make sense for large positive s.

Some people believe verbatim the numbers that are produced by the Hamas health ministry and some completely dismiss them. I’m in the middle and simply assume the right answer is 30% of what they say. That has been overall consistent so far.
