OTD in 1942, USS Rasher (SS 269) was launched in Manitowoc, WI. The Gato-class boat was one of the most successful US Navy submarines of World War II. 📸 Rasher's Battle Flag (*Note: she later earned Vietnam Service Medal w/2 stars)

@mecklerbetter I couldn’t be happier with this choice. We finally have a baseball guy making baseball decisions. Instant credibility throughout the organization and for future free agents. I’m not the least bit worried about this guy. He’s first class all the way in everything he does.
