Wii U is a terrible name because it is unclear whether it means an entirely new system or another Wii peripheral (Wii Fit, Wii Motion+, Wii Zapper etc) Switch 2 is a good name because it is perfectly clear that it is a new, successor system, just like PS1->PS2.

@FlorentChif @Carter_Kakos I think I misinterpreted your original comment then, my bad! In particular, I disagreed with the take that "Nintendo only addressed the timeline due to fan pressure and as a marketing strategy to sell books." Overall, I largely agree with your perspective on things!

@FlorentChif @Carter_Kakos This is completely wrong- if you had watched the video before replying, you'd know that the developers have always had an idea of how the games are connected chronologically. You can of course have your own opinion on whether this is good or bad, but it is absolutely the case.
