@BioMickWatson I mean there will be plenty of seqs that don't hit, it isn't really a universal sequence I was just being facetious, but as a broad method it really does work fine!

Wow it sure would be nice if people could just... use their twitter accounts as much or as little as they liked, rather than getting restricted for not spending enough time "engaging"🙄

@ZaminIqbal I don't have a reference fasta to hand I'm afraid! A lot of obvious kitome bugs fall into the Alphaproteobacteria, so you could download seqs from that taxon and use it as a first pass. With human judgement of course. :)
