3 years ago today, I ended the day with a trip to the park with my older son, followed by a rush to the ER with a broken neck. 2mm is all that held my C5 and C6 vertebrae together. By all rights, I should have been paralyzed if not dead. By the Grace of God, I'm still here!

I agree. I have friends who were told for years their numbers were in the "normal range" but things were not right (weight gain, fatigue, low libido, loss of focus, etc). They had to go outside the medical community to find some semblance of answers.

In terms of initial attraction, physicality is just a threshold (i.e. "is he cute, ✅"). That initial check changes (in either direction) based on the other factors.
In my experience, if you can make her laugh, you are instantly much more attractive than a guy that cannot.

It changes depending on the season. When the kids are young, the man being the sole provider makes things easier (when possible). Once the kids are a bit older and have after-school activities, it is good for the wife to have some sort of work to allow for adult socialization
