Aardvarks can eat up 50,000 insects in a single night, and their name means “earth pig” in Afrikaans.
Their burrows play an important role in protecting other animals during heatwaves and wildfires, providing refuge for around 27 other species including hyenas and porcupines.
The bears are back 🐻
Our European brown bears have now officially finished completed their torpor, and can be seen swimming, climbing trees and playing all around their habitat.
