Speaking during the launch of the Strategic Plan (2023-2027) @WRTIKenya Board Chair Dr David Nkedianye thanked the Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife CS @rebecca_miano and the State Department of Wildlife @PSMuseiya for their continued support. “By launching this ambitious Strategic Plan (2023-2027), is a bold step that we are taking in wildlife research and training in the country. As the Board, we have played an active role in shaping these strategies and goals to ensure they are practical, flexible, and impactful. We worked closely with management, experts, and stakeholders to create a roadmap that directly addresses today’s conservation challenges while seizing emerging opportunities,” he said. He added that the new Strategic Plan aligns with the Government’s Bottom-up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA) empowering the Institute to lead the way in conducting research that informs policymakers. “By collaborating with the Government, partners, and stakeholders, we are confident these initiatives will create a lasting impact on Kenya’s conservation landscape.
