28th September 1908 is the date when water level of

rose in fury & caused damage of catastrophic proportion in
#Hyderabad
. 48 hrs of rainfall killed around 15,000 people leaving more than a lakh homeless. This Tamarind tree saved 150 lives at that time.

Tomb of Sultan Subhan Quli Qutub Shah III also known as Chote Maalik Ki Gummad was the 3rd Sultan of Qutub Shahi Dynasty. He was son of Sultan Jamshed Quli Qutub Shah II and was placed on the throne at the age of 7yrs after the death of his father.

Qutub Shahi rulers were Persian & spoke Farsi in which Number 4 is called ’Chahar’ changed to “Char” in Dakkhani language that we speak. In all probability Char Minar & Char Kaman that we say now could have originally been ‘Chahar Minar’ & ‘Chahar Kaman’.

Before & After pictures of the Clock Tower at Secunderabad built in 1896 by Diwan Bahadur Ramgopal of D.B.R. Mills. This Clock Tower was renovated twice. Once in 2005 & then again in 2020 by Telangana State Government.

From what it Was - to what it Is now. “Char-Su-Ka-Hauz” (In Farsi means ‘Cistern of the Four Directions’). What was once created as a source of drinking water for many to quench their thirst, is what we see as “Gulzar Hauz” of today.

In an era when natural rock formations are bulldozed, “Kohistan” was built in Banjara Hills by Nawab Mehdi Nawaz Jung with the help of German architect Karl Von Molte-Heinz. The entire mansion with grottos, caves & underground dwelling was carved out of natural rock formations.
