Web accessible data is still theft. McDonalds logo is on the web. Can I use it for prints that I sell? No. Because it violates copyright. So why my is art any different? Or anyone elseโs.
Image models entirely rely on the data they are trained on. Even models built for phones rely on data. Itโs not magic. Itโs deliberate choices of devs and companies.
So what was Image Playground trained on? Has Apple even discussed this model at all?
We need answers not ads!

And also whoever generated these images possibly just wanted to show support for their country and doesnโt realize how impactful such images can be. Very small amount of people recognize AI generated stuff. I know artists and designers who canโt tell the difference.

I swear by this. Last year I started practicing a lot + had two rounds of live figure drawing class. It works, I had so many people say that my art improved even when I didnโt see it. But it requires mindset shift. Thereโs no such thing as being too advanced to learn.

By some miracle Pinterest algorithm avoids showing me ai crap. Not sure how or why. But maybe because Iโm bloodhound when it comes to ai images so I do my best not to interact with them. Problem is that general public just doesnโt recognize AI so they infest platform with it.

I think itโs our cue to start gathering live artistic events. Like drink and draw sessions. Museum tours (if you have one nearby). Pleinair weekends or something like that. Take art offline. Thatโs something AI canโt touch
I miss when art was safe.
I miss when we could browse endlessly through all types of creative media and not doubt that there was someoneโs hard work behind it.
I miss what art used to be and mean to the world.
I hope we never give up our art, even if we have to fight for it.

Even if AI gets regulated (hopefully), thereโs no way people will stop producing fakes and throwing them out there. Stable diffusion can be installed on any machine without internet connection. And it can be trained by individuals.
