The #GYEOSummit hosted #young Ukrainian entrepreneurs from the #UNITY activity. They spoke on operating their business during turbulent times and the help they receive from partners @IREXintl and @MakingCentsIntl.

The panel at @EDCtweets Private Sector session represented startups. They noted that #GreenSkills are not just acquired in a formal school setting, but on the job. Skills from many different sectors can be utilized in the green space, we don’t have to start from scratch.

This morning’s Intergenerational Plenary discussed the importance of incorporating equity. Cecilia Martinez of @BezosEarthFund noted that we are building community and community is inherently intergenerational. This will ensure the #GreenEconomy is as non-siloed as possible.

Day 2 started off with Headline Speakers Amara Ifeji and Michael Nyenhuis who spoke on intergenerational action required in the climate space. Amara, an outdoor educator, wants everyone included in the space. She believes everyone has a role to play in the solution. #GYEO2024

The first day concluded with a Plenary session from @USAID. Meghan Hussey, Inclusive Education Advisor, explained that UDL is for ALL learners, it applies at any level or to any subject, it fosters continuous improvement, and it builds on existing efforts. #GYEOSummit

During the Headline Address, Dean Karlan encouraged the audience to think about long-run sustainability when it comes to business. Ask yourself: What are the economics of that business? Is the value chain really there? Let’s not do something just because it feels good. #GYEO2024
