Choose CAREFULLY an experienced EXPERT #IPAA #JPouch surgeon initially or for redo it will drastically affect your outcome & future QOL!
3 patients came from different states where their pouches was excised at the time of an exploratory laparotomy for recurrent SBO last 6 months to @NorthwellHealth . Our plead to our collaques (general or CRS )who may not do routine pouch patients care. PLEASE stay away from pouch ( pelvis) and just diverting can be a great option rather than burning bridges or making redo pouch surgery much more challenging with pouch excision.
