When I polled LinkedIn about offer deadlines 76% of folks chose either 2 or 5 days - only 18% said 24 hours and I'll bet every last one was a recruiter 🤣 LISTEN 👏🏻 TO 👏🏻 YOUR 👏🏻 AUDIENCE 👏🏻 Majority of candidates want time and space to decide.

Stop using Canva for resumes. These resumes do not get read correctly by Applicant Tracking Systems or Job Boards. If the system can't read your resume, you're not showing up in search results. They look nice, but they're actually f*cking up your job search.

You want your resume to be quickly and easily understood by the reader. What’s most “eye-catching” for recruiters on a resume is relevance, not design. It’s easier for us to see your relevance when what you’ve done isn’t cluttered or hidden in graphics, columns, or pictures.

Looking at resume templates on Canva right now. Please don't do this. These are nice looking, but this is like a Graphic designer's idea of what they think recruiters are looking for. It's not. The ATS systems we work with will have no idea how to read this 9/10 times.

The concept of my experience growing up, growing up IN RECRUITING, and having a long and winding road to get to the same place they were 2 years out of school was BREATHTAKING. Some got it. Many could not make it compute. And that's why I fucking hate ice breakers. 8/8

@hr_dan I just let a candidate know they're getting an offer and I shit you not I get "So I watched your video on this, and I have my yes number. It's $X" and I'm dying lol Well played sir. WELL PLAYED.

I get that a lot of people don't understand OFCCP, Basic Qualifications, and why recruiters talk so much about this. As for me, I do try to explain / enlighten folks as much as I can. HOWEVER - the fact that an HR PROFESSIONAL wants to shame me for following the law is wild. 😳
