In 4TF we have learned that Greece is made up of lots of islands, the coastal line is approx 14000km, approx 80% of Greece is made up of mountains and the capital city is Athens

Year 1 have been learning about maps today. Do you know what the different colours on a map mean?

Year 3 have loved learning about a Indian food and creating menus this afternoon! 🍴

For Geography enrichment day, Year 4 have been learning about Greece. We used topographical maps to learn about physical features and learnt about four figure grid references.

Year 2 learnt all about South Africa on our geography enrichment day today. We had such fun using a stippling technique to create flags!

Year 2 had a special treat - they chose some books to take home and enjoy! We hope you love reading them ☺️

Yenton are participating in a Geography Enrichment Day. Each year group has a different country to explore. Year 3 are learning all about India. We’ve named the continents and oceans using indexes in atlases and have used Google Earth to find mountains and the capital city.

During carousel activities in Year 3, children work independently whilst one group works with the class teacher. This week children have played x4 & x8 times table games, used base ten to add, added suffixes to words learnt in reading and played online games.

All of Year 3 have been given the chance to win their own book! They need to sign their reading records every day for a week or complete 5 authors or titles from the A-Z of books. The selection is vast!

Year 5 are spending their morning looking at grid references in geography. We will be using our skills to locate places in Reykjavik.
