The catastrophic effects of the democratic experiment. The recent election merely confirms what should have been obvious: democracy is a failed experiment. The concept of equal rights, which supposedly lies at the foundation of a prosperous nation, is inherently flawed. To allow the unintelligent masses a voice in governance is akin to letting children decide their bedtimes. We don’t expect children to make the right choices, nor should we blame them for their lack of critical thought. This is not a matter of pity, but rather a recognition of reality—a reality that so-called democratic leaders refuse to acknowledge. The Democrats, for example, have failed consistently. They are paralyzed by an obsession with the truth, unable to confront the darker forces at play within the nation. Much like children, the average voter is driven by immediate gratification, indifferent to long-term consequences or the improbability of their desires coming to fruition. These same people, swine-like in their behavior, are unbothered by the presence of authoritarian regimes or accusations of discrimination—so long as they believe they will remain unaffected. If you wish to target the gays, they will go along with it for they are not gay. The Jew? They will gladly oblige. Even those part of the groups such as the infamous nonwhite, white nationalists. They will happily lead their own kind to the slaughter, so long as they believe themselves to be part of the group of select few minorities who are considered good. The Republicans have understood this dynamic better, winning over groups that the Democrats ignore. Yet both parties, in their own ways, fail to grasp that a truly prosperous nation requires a departure from this flawed egalitarianism. Instead, we need a government led by those capable of making difficult decisions, unburdened by the whims of the unqualified masses. To see a nation prosper, we must detach ourselves from the failures of democracy and move towards a structure that can enforce necessary changes to ensure survival and future stability. The path forward is clear: equal rights as currently conceived must be dismantled or wholly redefined. The knee-jerk reaction of the weak will be to make immediate concessions. Legal equality should remain—punishments for crimes should not differ based on sex or race. Discrimination based on race, sex, orientation, or religion should be avoided in both private and public spheres. Yet we must ask: what is discrimination? Is acknowledging statistical realities about crime discrimination? Is protecting children from harmful religious practices discrimination? The answer, in our society’s naive view, is yes. Being sexist is not by any means inherently evil. The crimes committed against women by and large are perpetrated by men. As such segregating the most vulnerable groups from the reach of their assailants is justified. Policing black neighborhoods is not racist, for they commit the greatest number of crimes, and if the job of the states enforcement arm is the reduction of crime. It only stands to reason it would go after these areas. It is time to put away the toys of children, these notions of what it is to be good. We must abandon the naïve idealism of recent decades—this obsession with avoiding every 'ism' or 'ist'—as if these labels carry any inherent moral weight. Conservatives, Nazis, communists, leftists—they all acknowledge differences among people. The conservatives acknowledge the differences between the sexes. Nazis, the differences between the races, and the leftists acknowledge the differences between the working class and the rich. All recognizing the inherent differences between us all. But the true difference that matters is not along economic, racial or gender-based identities. but by the propensity one has for logical reasoning.
