@woodhouse_west today, as geographers, we studied how volcanoes can form islands through repeated eruptions. We used Bicarbonate of Soda and vinegar to repeatedly ‘explode’ explode our volcanoes and traced round where the new island would form #WoodhouseWestExperience✏️

Today in science we learned about the components that make up blood. It is 45% red blood cells, 54% plasma, >1% white blood cells and platelets. Here it is represented in sweets and syrup. #WoodhouseWestExperience✏️

Our Year 6 students have had a brilliant immersion day for our new topic- Sheffield At War. We Dug for Victory, made Canadian Wacky Cake and Downing Street Cake, created gas mask boxes and produced our own evacuation tags. #WoodhouseWestExperience✏️
