Prayers up for Bob Jones quarterback & shortstop, Caden Rose who recently suffered a grade 2 spleen laceration. Pray there will be no bleeding or need for surgery, plus a quick return to doing what he loves - competing. Absolutely one of my favorite athletes to watch of all time.

Alex Washington has played basketball his entire athletic career, decides to give football a try his senior year. As of today, 18 football scholarship offers on the table and he chose Harvard. Infinite doors will be open the rest of his life because he chose to try something new.

So thankful to be practicing football on Thanksgiving day. Thankful for our dads that attended our father-son Thanksgiving breakfast/practice. Practice concluded with players circled-up beside their dads and together reciting the Spartan “Brotherhood” creed.

Last night an opponents player dislocated his shoulder on our sideline. Our team doctor and trainers worked several minutes to put his shoulder back in place. The player returned to the game & played. None better than these three. They do it for the right reasons…the kids.

20 years ago today the life of my great friend and former teammate, Dwayne Williams, was taken when terrorist crashed a plane into the pentagon where Dwayne worked. He was a decorated American hero, son, husband, father, brother, teammate and great friend. Never, never forget!
