The Tennessee Constitution literally says that “the doors of each House . . . shall be kept open.” That’s so the Citizens can assemble together to instruct their representatives, as allowed by Constitution.
You can’t be scared of people in the people’s House.
The area outside the chambers is heavily cordoned off to prevent protesters from crowding lawmakers. Guessing a few dozen members of the public will now be able to make it in, compared with the hundreds of before.
