Student run account for the Yao Yang group at Cornell Chemistry; We develop operando methods to probe electrochemical dynamics at energy material interfaces

Our group’s presentation was highlighted at the Nature Conference for 3rd Frontiers in Electron Microscopy for Physical and Life Sciences. We use EC-STEM to map active sites of CO2 reduction catalysts with nanometer resolution.

Big congrats to our postdoc, Dr. Sungin Kim @coffeesmart2 and his PhD advisor, Prof. Jungwon Park @jungwonpark. A great New Year gift.
Our new JACS paper is out! We show that electrochemistry can be performed in liquid cell TEM like in a bulk cell and applied an accelerated stress test for fuel cell catalysts. This was a great collaboration with Hyundai Motors.
